Why not just bring back the Superstock class? That is essentially what this class is becoming anyway. Just an idea

The only way any of these discussion will carry water is IF the local racers AND the track officials work together and form a democratic Missouri Short Track Racing Association that governs with the one set of rules for each class of car at every track (asphalt or dirt) in the association. If you are legal at Monett then you are legal at Midway. The Association would appoint tech personnel for each track and be responsible for following the rules accordingly. This would lighten the load on the track owners giving them more time for track and show prep.
Also IF such an association were to be created, points would be kept for each track as well as a season total for all the tracks per driver. The highest point total for the season would be named the Short Track Racer of the Year with a worthy prize. This would promote drivers to visit as many of the local tracks in the area as possible to keep their season points high. Kind of like when I raced back in the 80's, it was three nights a week at - Fairgrounds(asphalt or dirt), Bolivar, Ozark Mountain & Monett.
As far as the drivers making all the difference and not the wallet I would have to call BS. If you are racing a high car count on a small tight track then I would agree but on big tracks like LOS the money usually prevails if the driver can even halfass his/her way thru a turn. But then again these are Factory Supers we are talking about and there should be few limitations if anyone wants to run with the big dogs.
