I read previous threads on Lucas bing Dry Slick. A majority of drivers were in favor of this. It was a great night of Racing. It was great to see the kids in the Pits getting Drivers autographs. The racing was excellent, we only had one cautin in the Factory Stock Feature. I was running slow due to my inexperence on dry slick, and just getting my car back together before the race (long story Lol). Every one drove a great race and I never got ran over( Lol). Congrates to Ben and the Allen cars. You can have the greatest car in the world but if you don't know how to drive, you not going to do good. We have a great group of drivers at Lucas and the track does a good job. My family, friends and I had a lot of fun. Thanks every one!

I agree. I love the dry slick. Look how many fewer cars got tore up this week than the previous week where it was the exact opposite.

Dry slick is cheaper on equipment and puts it more in the drivers hand. Slick that baby off!

I have to say smooth, slick, and slow=BORING! As a fan of dirt racing last weeks races were the boringest races I have seen all year.

I know its gotta be hard to get it right every week but they really need to get away from this slicked off crap all the time the only race where the track was awesome this year was when the sprints were there and it rained lightly off and on that afternoon made the track tacky all night the slick is usually a little easier on everything but the tires, however it is boring to watch

Sorry, I shouldn't have answered like that. I guess what I should have said is that we can make it really fast if we want to and we have proved that with the Sprint Cars and on July 1st but we have way more drivers ask us to keep it slower and slicker than super fast. There were also a lot more cautions and a lot more tore up race cars when we had it really fast so yes we did try to slow it down for last weekend. To find that exact medium is obviously really tough but we can get it fast and tacky or slow and slick.

Boring is when there is so many cautions, that time runs out, before the cars can really get going. Tacky is when you get in the car and put the hammer down, slick is when you get in the car and have to using your driving ability. I thought the races were extremely good this week and were over at a good time. And another note, after reading all the posts on here, there is no way I would have Dan's job. lol

Now i can tell you this it also takes skill to drive when its tacky because your going so fast. Now both take skill! It just takes two different styles of driving.

I like a little bite myself. Every racer has his own agenda, if your results are good on slick you like it slick, if your good on tacky you like it tacky. If you don't care you are probably a heck of a good racer. I finished 15th Sat. night and ate enough dust for a life time, guess which I like. You got it when I see dust in hot laps I always wish I would have stayed home.

Dan,
What type of track are you going to prepare for the Diamond Nationals?
